Apricorn Ez Gig Ii Download
A little background for this question:
I had a powersupply blow up and take the cpu etc. with it but the HD ( one Tb) and all my data was ok. I purchased a computer with a SSD and I am trying to clone the data (along with the OS) from the HD to the new computer. I have the HD hooked to the new computer (usb box). The new computer boots from the USB HD and I have all of the files, os etc from the old computer. It is like having the old computer once again.
NOW the problem:
I wanted to clone the usb HD to the new computer ssd. I checked with Sandisk and downloaded an article that recommended using Apricorn EZ GIG v6.2,exe, So I tried this. Running this program, I chose the source drive (my usb HD) that the computer shows as 'C' drive. No problem. The computer has a new 500Gb SSD that the computer shows as 'D' drive. When I select this 'D' drive as destination, I get a dialog box saying:
Device not found
EZ Gig IV was unable to find your Apricorn upgrade device. Please make sure that the device is connected and powered. If the device is connected, please re-connect the device to your computer and restart EZ Gig IV.
I do not understand this. It is supposed to copy from disk to disk. Both disks show on the program screen and I can select them but when I select the destination (Drive 'D') I get the above dialog box.
Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I am just a novice, but I have stumbled this far and cannot move on.
